Rockcliffe Professional Certification is meant to complement your existing credentials, be it in the field of business, education, non-profits, or other associations. Rockcliffe Professional Members are invited to help participate in the development of our certification through participation in our pilot courses prior to launch.
Member Perks
Every Rockcliffe Professional Member may complete the professional development course as part of your membership dues, at no extra charge. Digital Course Instructor Professional Certification
Program Purpose: The Digital Course Instructor Certificate aims to complement traditional curriculum design methods by providing a framework for addressing disruptive technology and innovation. DCIC Professionals completing the certificate program will learn new methods of framing knowledge transfer that embrace innovation and transformative engagement that challenges both the instructor and the learner.
SME1000 Instructional Design for Subject Matter Experts
The purpose of this course is to provide the digital course instructor with an un understanding of basic instructional design for online courses. See the calendar for the next scheduled class.
DEP2000 Digital Education Preparedness
The purpose of this course is to provide the digital course instructor with an understanding of the disruptive technologies and innovation and their effect and impact on education. See the calendar for the next scheduled class.
VIE2000 Virtual Immersive Environments
The purpose of this course is to provide the digital course instructor with an understanding of virtual reality (VR) based technologies available, their capabilities, benefits, and drawbacks. This course will become available in Spring 2018.
CIT2000 Digital Citizenship
The purpose of this course is to provide the digital course instructor with an understanding of the ethics, safeguards, and legal responsibilities in integrating technology and data into course curriculum.
DAM2000 Digital Assessment Methodologies
The purpose of this course is to provide the digital course instructor with an understanding of how to design appropriate assessment for digital learning that may use various disruptive technologies. This course will become available in Spring 2018.
Other Professional Development Opportunities
Continuing Educational Workshops in various immersive technologies will also be available to help understand various immersive environments and how they are used. These workshops are a great addition to understanding best practices in how these environments and tools can be used in the classroom.
These are not typically available for CEU’s but they are short, 1-3 hour sessions to teach you quick skills. They will be announced in The Chronicler when they are available for registration through the Rockcliffe shops.
